The Master of bioengineering Program is broad based and is devoted to application of engineering principles to the understanding of human body machine in health and disease, its medical care, its performance and impact in normal and hazardous environment. The principle areas of focus are biomaterials for orthopaedic, dental application, rehabilitation and medical instruments. Faculty research areas include biomechanics, tribology, artificial joints, tooth and bone implant design and also rehabs-aids and biomedical instrumentation, design and development.

1st Semester: Anatomy, Physiology & Biochemistry, Biomechanics & Biomaterials, Artificial Organ & Rehabilitation Engg. and two core subjects namely, Numerical Analysis & Computer Programming and Instrumentation , Laboratory practice for each subject. Large number of experimental setups are used for illustration of the principles taught.
2nd Semester: Bioinstrumentation, Occupational Health & Safety in Industry, Clinical Engineering & Hospital Management, Computer in Medicine, Laboratory practice, Hospital internship / training, Seminar.
3rd & 4th Semester: Research & Dissertation.
